What examples are there of successful BOP ventures in Africa?
There are many examples of semi-philanthropic BOP venture, but where are the successful for-profit ventures? I am looking for examples of companies successfully selling to low income consumers. The companies should be for-profit and sizeable (turnover of at least $10 mil.)

If you are looking at this range of turnover I guess you are mostly looking at the giants selling for instance ice cream and other FMCG - Azam (Tanzania) being one. Grundfos Lifelink is coming up and looks to be promising other example. I am as well interested in knowing more examples of BoPs ventures where the products are actually livelihood improving for the BoP. "Kick starter" (low tech water pumps) seems to be an example too.
