A number of countries in Africa have wind potential including Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal, Cape Verde, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia (strongest wind in all of Africa but no current political infrastructure or support for wind), Mozambique, Ethiopia, Madagascar, South Africa, Namibia, Uganda, Malawi amongst others . Industry overall is lacking development capital.

I agree with the above answer from Mr. McCartney and would like to add
Chad, Libya, and Sudan which all have large reserves. One of the main problems to esatblish the wind energy in Africa is the high cost of connecting to the local grid - if any exist at all.
